Integration
Geotab Integration: Fleet Fuel Intelligence from Your Geotab Data
Connect the Geotab account you already run and turn its telemetry into fuel savings you can price, without new hardware or a spreadsheet habit.
The problem
Geotab is exceptional at capturing data and generous about letting you get at it. That is exactly the problem: the fuel answer is in there, spread across engine data, trips, and idle events, and assembling it into something a CFO can act on is a recurring analyst job rather than a report you can just open.
How it works
- 1
Enter your database credentials
Provide your Geotab username, password, and database name. CleanFreight connects to your existing database with read access only.
- 2
CleanFreight builds your baseline
We pull fuel, distance, idle, and engine hours per vehicle per day, then work out what normal looks like for each class of asset you run.
- 3
See what is recoverable
Vehicles are ranked by the gap between expected and actual fuel, so the biggest opportunities are the first thing you see.
What data we use
Fuel consumed
Distance travelled
Idle time
Engine hours
What you need to get started
- A Geotab username and password with access to your fleet data
- Your Geotab database name
- Vehicles reporting fuel and odometer data

Geotab integration FAQ
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. You enter three fields and the first sync starts straight away.
Should I create a dedicated Geotab user?
We recommend it. A separate read-only user for CleanFreight makes access easy to audit and easy to revoke without disturbing anyone else's login.
Which Geotab data does CleanFreight read?
Fuel consumed, distance travelled, idle time, and engine hours, per vehicle per day. We do not read driver behaviour events, video, or location traces.
Is the connection read-only?
Yes. CleanFreight only reads telemetry. We never send commands to a vehicle, edit a record in your telematics account, or change anything about how your fleet operates.
Can I disconnect at any time?
Yes. Disconnecting takes one click in your CleanFreight connections page, and it stops all future syncing immediately. You can also revoke access from your provider's own account settings.
What happens to my data if I disconnect?
Your history stays in CleanFreight so your reports remain readable, unless you turn on the option to purge it on disconnect. That setting is yours to choose.

One-time report
Get a fuel waste assessment from your Geotab data
One report from 12 months of your Geotab data, connected read-only: how much fuel is recoverable, where it goes, and the 10 trucks to fix first. CA$499, one time, no subscription.
Join the platform and get CA$100 back. Subscribe to the CleanFreight platform within 30 days of your report and CA$100 of what you paid for the assessment comes off your first platform invoice.
